Three organs, separate duties, and conflict rules written down before the first case — because impartiality is an architecture, not a promise.
/01
The three organs
Rules §1
Oversight & appeals
The Board
Executive officers and shareholder representatives. The Board appoints the Expert Panel, hears appeals against admissibility decisions, and may admit appeals against substantive decisions for substantial legal or factual error (§2.4).
Legal & technical expertise
The Expert Panel
Legal and technical experts appointed by the Board. Experts sit with the Arbitrator in disputes above USD 100,000, and take over cases transferred by a conflicted Arbitrator (§3.7).
Case administration
The Secretariat
Registers claims, screens admissibility within three weeks, channels all correspondence between the Parties, and keeps the register and the registry of decisions current.
/02
How cases are assigned
Rules §3.7
Standard disputes
Decided by a sole Arbitrator on the written record.
Above USD 100,000
The Arbitrator sits with one or two experts from the Expert Panel.
Conflict disclosed
The case is transferred; the conflicted member is replaced.
/03
Independence, in obligations
01
Disclosure
Arbitrators and experts must disclose any financial interest, personal interest or other circumstance liable to create bias — before taking a case and at any point one arises (§3.7).
02
Recusal & replacement
A conflicted Arbitrator transfers the case; Trustera replaces conflicted arbitrators and experts. No one decides a dispute they have an interest in.
03
Outcome-blind funding
Trustera is funded by flat operator subscriptions. No fee depends on who wins. Players pay nothing in any event (§10).
04
Published reasoning
Decisions are published in anonymised form (§8). Reasoning that will be read is reasoning that must hold up.
Appointments
Members of the Expert Panel are appointed by the Board under §1 of the Rules. Appointments are published on this page as they are made — with name, capacity and date. We list people only once they are appointed, and never before.
